The interesting thing to note is that if you go by both synopses I've found for 2010 Korean drama Prosecutor Princess, while they are not essentially inaccurate, they paint a bit of a different picture. One synopsis will have you believe that the drama is solely about the struggle of a shallow rich girl to become a powerhouse prosecutor while the other synopsis will have you believe the drama is solely a revenge flick with some romantic comedy thrown in for good measure. It's not.
This drama is slightly more accurate if you combine both synopses together, but then again, it really doesn't say everything. Check out the biggest fails of Prosecutor Princess's synopses here: asianaddictsanonymous.com/2015/08/05/asian-drama-synopsis-fail-prosecutor-princess/.

What Came First? That Winter, The Wind Blows Edition
Before the Korean drama That Winter, The Wind Blows there was a Korean movie starring Moon Geun Young (she played the same role as Song Hye Kyo) called Love Me Not. I knew about that as I had watched part of the movie. I still need to finish it. But did you know both Korean projects are actually remakes of 2002 Japanese drama Ai Nanta Irane Yo, Natsu?
You can learn more about each of these dramas and film and their little differences here: asianaddictsanonymous.com/2015/08/05/what-came-first-that-winter-the-wind-blows-edition/

Asian Addicts Anonymous 5 Year Anniversary Giveaway August Edition
Tis the month of music! May I gave away anime which was my first foray into Asian entertainment. June I gave away manga or manga-related materials for the next step of my addiction. July saw me giving away Asian food related items in my continuing journey of how I fell in love with Asian things. August sees music. I really got into Asian music before I got into Asian dramas.
So, I figured the best thing to giveaway were mixed playlists of some of my most favorite songs. See below for the full list and check back each week for the updated links.

Asian Drama Streaming Updates - August 4, 2015 Edition
The past few weeks saw anime explosions on Hulu and Crunchyroll, but that seems to have calmed down. Instead we get a few new dramas and movies. Not a lot to write home about, but some new ones.
DramaFever has added two new kdrama simulcasts, plus is starting to add some TV dramas! Hulu has one new DramaFever title; Netflix has no new Asian dramas, but has taken down all of the Taiwanese dramas it was originally streaming. Oh, KBSWORLD TV (YouTube channel) is streaming the fourth season of A Song for You where you can get up close and personal (so to speak) with your favorite kpop stars.
For the full list of new additions, see the guide here: asianaddictsanonymous.com/2015/08/04/asian-drama-streaming-updates-august-4-2015/

What Came First?: Itzura na Kiss Edition
With the popularity of Korean dramas, many people find a certain drama and think that it is the original and anything that may come after is a remake. Or maybe they don't know the year something aired and mistake anything else they see as a copy even when it isn't.
Thailand is doing their own adaptation of the manga Itzura na Kiss called Kiss Me. It may be airing sometime this fall, but I am not sure officially dates have been announced yet, although there is a trailer available.
Itzura na Kiss is a manga from the mid to late 90s that followed Kotoko as she struggled to bring her love for ikemen Irie to actualization. This manga was never finished following the unexpected death of the mangaka. This series gained popularity that a drama adaptation followed only like 2 years after its debut and it is still popular enough that it continues to see live action adaptations.
Take a journey on the many incarnation of this manga here: asianaddictsanonymous.com/2015/07/29/what-came-first-itzura-na-kissplayful-kiss-edition/.

A Few Steps to Prevent Content Theft
Thanks to the content thief ZKPOP.com that was going around stealing drama bloggers recaps (to make a profit for themselves with ads), I thought it was a good idea to go through a few steps that bloggers can put into place. Some processes aren't necessarily available if you are not self-hosting your own site or blog, though.
With the way the internet is, it just does not make sense for people to simply copy in paste what someone else has worked so hard on.
- Add copyright text to your blog (people can and do ignore this, but it is a step in the right direction.
- Add Creative Commons to your blog if you want (again, people don't always use this correctly either or choose to ignore it)
- Watermark images (people still steal images that have been watermarked, but they are less likely to do so)
- Never show full text in RSS feeds or on the main page of your blog

Kinkyori Renai Movie Review
Yamashita Tomohisa and Komatsu Nana star in this drama about a 27-year-old teacher who has never experienced true love and a high school senior who discovers love for the first time. Kururugi Yuni is a teenager who represses all of her feelings and walks around with an expressionless face regardless of the seething emotions under the surface. Her English teacher notices the signs of her repressed emotions and tries to get her to open up while tutoring her in English (which he believes you need to have emotions to understand since it is not based on rules and formulas like her beloved math and science). During this time together the two unexpectedly fall in love and must confront their feelings and decide to defy societal conventions or run away from the love they just discovered.

Asian Drama Streaming Updates - July 14, 2015 Edition
It's an anime explosion this week! There really is no new dramas (save like 1 Japanese on Crunchyroll) nor movies. It's weird. There is, however, lots of new anime line ups on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Oh, and in case you missed it, DramaFever has now added British dramas to its library of Asian and Spanish-language dramas and movies. You can get the full list of legal streaming goodies over on Asian Addicts Anonymous: http://wp.me/p1G2Fx-beD.
Recipe: Sweet Potato Sesame Noodle Bowl
Looking for a (somewhat) easy Asian recipe that's also on the healthier side? Check out the latest recipe on Asian Addicts Anonymous which utilizes a spiral cutter to turn sweet potatoes into noodles for a yummy ginger and Chinese 5-spice infused dish. The recipe was adapted from Diane Keuilian's Chinese Noodle Bowl recipe and is low on carbs, processed sugars, and chemicals.
It's so yummy my grandfather had two helpings. He doesn't go back for seconds if he doesn't like it. Plus, the country ribs were cooked just right and so tender and yummy!

Flashback Thursday: 2012 The Year of The Big Mistake
I am really enjoying the walks down memory lane. I am recalling so much now and remembering all the work and tears and love I poured into Asian Addicts Anonymous to make it is today. Which, granted, has fallen by the wayside more than a little thanks to real life tragedy at the end of last year and the grief that carried over and still lingers well into this year.
It's funny to think about how my grandmother's illness helped contribute to all the hours I spent watching dramas and blogging about them, but more on that at a later time. Take a trip down memory lane and see what happened at the beginning of 2012's blogging year here: asianaddictsanonymous.com/2015/07/09/flashback-thursday-9/.
